Abstract 3D artwork that was more of a technical exercise in material and lighting exploration within 3D Studio Max and V-Ray. I used a free plugin called DebrisMaker2 to generate a variety of crystals that were then scattered across a sphere using Forest Pack. The sphere itself then has a light material applied to it with a rainbow texture mapped to the light color. The crystals then had a frosted-glass-like material applied to them for their refractive effect.
